No 2 Pitt vs WVU

Pitt 60- WVU 74
Maddison Square Garden- New York, NY

From start to finish, it felt like The West Va Mountaineers(23-10) wanted to win, and needed to win. On the other hand Pittsburgh(28-4) Looked like a team who thought they would just ride on into this game and jsut coast to a victory. The game was looking like how we all expected, until Dejuan Blair(co-Big east player of the year) Sat after only 6 minutes due to picking up a second foul both of which came off the ball or were unnecessary mental mistakes. The mountaineers turned that into a game with a big line up lead by Forwards Da'Shaun Butler(16pts. 3 rebounds and 4 assist) and Devin Ebanks who scored a career high 20 pts,and added ( 7 rebounds, and 3 assists) But the play of the bench by Pitt were not going to bend so easily, narrowing the WVU lead to a 36-34 half time lead. T start the half Dejuan Blair proved how valuable he was by catching a long pass and slamming it down the iron with authority and yelling "Lets Go". But on the following possession, Blair received a technical foul for elbowing as his team was taking it up court. So again he sat. he came back in 5 minutes later to a suffering Pitt Offence. He proved the spark scoring 9 points only to receive his last 2 fouls and leave the game with 6 to go. Causing WVU to just control the game and hold off the defending Big East tournament champions Pitt and win this semifinal match.

WVU plays the winner of the #4 Uconn vs #20 Syracuse. and hope to impress and earn a spot into the tournament next Thursday.
While Pitt waits for selection Sunday to see where the committee thinks they belong. and prepare for the NCAA tournament.

  1. OK, here we go (hang on to your hat):

"...would just ride on into this game and jsut coast..."

The 2 things wrong here are the repetition of 'just' and the misspelling of 'just'. Substitute 'simply' for the second 'just' and above all else reread before you post.

"The game was looking like how we all expected,..."

This is awkward; it doesn't read smoothly. Remember, spoken language is different than written. Reading is slower than listening, so you have more time to notice problems.

Watch your capitalization. It's 'Mountaineers' one time and 'mountaineers' the next. Similarly, don't start sentences with 'But...' or 'And...'. A sentence indicates a separate thought and those are connecting words.

Enough ass-kicking; good job. 'And' keep going!
