This off season has brought an unusual feeling to the city of Indianapolis, Coaching moves, hall of famers jumping ship, this season is going to be the biggest test of the last decade to our QB, our Coaches , our Franchise, and our fans.
On January 12th our future HOF coach Tony Dungy announced that his time coaching in the NFL was complete and that he was going to be leaving us. We bounced back with the immediate announcement of Jim Caldwell.
In February, we lost future HOF WR Marvin Harrison due to salary cap issues, its sad but he just wasn't worth the 11 million left on his contract.
In April we drafedt RB Donald Brown in the 1st round, the leading NCAA rusher of 2008. We also were able to get 2 big and strong DT's whom I have extreme confidence in. I think that over the years that Bill Polian. deserves the benefit of the doubt during draft day, and the decison making of any personal changes.
In my opinion its not going to be a time for panic nor to just pass this off as no big deal, the biggest changes wont show until someone is calling the plays into Peyton with a unfamiliar, and a unproven resume when it comes down to that 4th and 1 against the Patriots in January. Things will never be the same in Indy, but I'm a firm believer that this is going to be a great and one of the most memorable seasons in franchise history.

Life on my own isn't all gravy.
I moved out of the house on Sunday with the highest of hopes and great ideas. On that Monday I filled out some online applications, watched some ESPN a pretty easy night. At around 10:30 John Baker comes up to me and says Tom called, he left your lights on go and give him a jump so I start my adventure trying to get around West Lafayette not knowing where I was going about 20 minutes after driving around I ended up at the Movie Theater (where Thomas works) only to find out he didn't need me. So i drive back around, once again lost as all can be takes me about 20 minutes to get back. Well when I wake up the next morning, I notice my car wasn't in the drive way, so my thought was just automatically o-my-god. Thomas and I drove out there to try and get it to work. Thomas thought it was the alternator, but I refused to believe that. After messing around with it for 30 minutes we are getting ready to call it quits, I say lets just try my cables for shits and giggles. It started. So Thomas and I then went to lunch with John, then Thomas and I went to register for classes and all of that jazz. Then we went job searching, we went to probably close to 15-20 places. As we were leaving the mall I realised my wallet was no longer in my pocket, which just made no sense to me. I have had the same wallet since I was 11, and I have never in my life, actually lost something for more then an hour. The worst part was the fact that I had ever single dollar I brought up with me, my drivers license, and my checks. I now live up north with not a dime, a laptop that cannot for some mysterious reason connect to the Internet. Fortunately for me I have pretty much the greatest friends. I'll get through this, but damn does it suck.

NBA Finals Preview
With all the hype of Lebron vs Kobe, we ended up with the red hot Magic taking on the experienced LA Lakers.
In Orlando the fans couldn't be more excited, They were the underdogs, who came out and crushed the unbeaten force called the Cleavland Cavilers, but on the other hand Laker fans will be disappointed with anything but another banner in LA.
But whats on the line for Kobe is more then anything else in this upcoming series. Kobe wants to be named with names like Russel, Chamberlain, Johnson, Kareem, Jordan, and Shaq. But with back to back finals losses, his name will be forever tainted and the one who couldn't get it done without 4 time NBA champion Shaquelle O'Neal.
But even with all these subplots the game comes down to coaching and whomever has the better players, and in both situations, the edge goes to the Lakers. With Phil Jackson at the helm, I don't see a situation in which the Magic win a game in LA plus ALL 3 in Orlando. Am I counting the magic out? heavens no, as Superman has shown, he will not go down until you make him. but my prediction, Lakers in 6.

NBA needs a change. Soon.
Last Night I watched for the first time the NBA Draft Lottery.
It was one of the most upsetting things I have ever watched. The system is in place to keep teams from losing on purpose to get a guaranteed first overall pick. But a team like the Kings, who won 17 games last season ended up with the 4th pick. In theory, the team with the worst record has a 25% chance of landing the #1 overall pick, but only 2 times since 1985 has it actually happened. They need to adopt the system of the NFL- if you suck the draft will be there to keep fans excited for the following season and give the worst team the player the hope will take their team to the next level. Who wants to see the team with a .7 chance of getting a great pick actually succed and get it... It just seems unfair that the Phoenix Suns who have 2 time MVP Steve Nash and Shaq not to mention a team that won 43 games have a shot at getting the same player as a team with not one player I can think of and a 17 win season. Its sad, it wasn't exciting to watch. I actually felt bad for Chris Webber who was representing them at the Lotto he just stood there and watched his team fall out of top 3. With a smirk of defeate and a stinch of the fact that they will not even recieve one of the 3 ellite players coming out with this years draft class. I would love to see a change made and adapted even before the next season starts.

"Mike Vick might be coming back even this season.
TO is done. He is no longer a god, or even that good. He's lost a step and he knows it, so he's attempting to get what little fame and money he can now that his career is over."
-----Mike Vick, I think is not going to touch what presence he used to bare, without being able to run and keep in NFL shape, I am not so sure he will come back.
TO, has lost a step....but I would be telling a lie if I said I didn't want him on my team if he didn't have all of the other off field issues, I still very much so consider him good.

TO in Buffalo
The media has been making such a huge deal about the fact that Terrel Owens (T.O.) actually showed up to Volentary mini camp today, May 18th. But the truth of the matter is that he is a media whore who seems to be more of a cancer then an asset to a team looking to make a run at a divison title and maybe a playoff birth. TO maybe 2nd all time in Touchdowns, but it doesnt make up for the way that he collapses teams around him. He needs to mature or get out of the NFL, cause once he finishes up his tenure in Buffalo, hes going to be out fishing with Mike Vick and other NFL social outcasts.

Why Paul Pierce is my favorite player in the NBA
Why is Paul Pierce my favorite player in the NBA? Is it his awkward movements? the fact that whenever we need him most he comes out and plays? Or even his magnificent floater that just seems to soar. Not for me. Paul Pierce is my favorite player due to the fact that when he comes out, he tries his absolute best. He plays with such heart and determination where he makes you get up and cheer for him. Paul Pierce has led the Celtics for many years, even during the bad years Paul could do it all. Tonights game against the Magic, he proved to me again why I love him so much. With 5 seconds on the clock Rondo passes him the ball about 32 feet away he drives in, the doulble team comes, and unlike most superstars, Paul dishes the ball out to a unproven, bench player who starts only because of the injury to Keven Garnett, and with that trust that Paul has in his team mate Boston tied the series to 2-2 and home court advantage.

Are you ready for some Wednesday!
Let me start with the line up.... Boston Celtics vs Orlando Magic game 2 in Boston. Washington Capitals vs Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Mets vs Philadelphia Phillie's.
Phillie's At Mets
I don't usually watch a lot of baseball, but today it was on and I decided to give it a whirl, never had I been so entranced to a baseball game, I watched Johan Santana pitch those first 4 Innings with 3 getting on base and only one was a hit, he made baseball fun for me today, along with with watching the swagger of Jimmy Rollins. When ever he gets a chance to make a play, he gives it 100%
I then proceeded to get some wings and watch Pens vs Caps and Celtics vs Magic.
Pens vs Caps
What a great time to start liking hockey, watching the games two best players in Sydney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin. It was so much fun, but not only the way they lead their teams but the way they control the puck and I am still amazed about how they skate as if they were running. the game lived up to the expectations going into OT and having the Penns win in Pittsburgh (3-2 OT) and getting series to 2-1
Meanwhile... I was watching one of the most fun basketball games. I was worried after calling a blow out in game one and then being stunned going down 28 Monday night. But today I also called a not so uncommon let down by a Stan Van Gundy team, and I was right, we started off great, and only got better Eddie house proved himself maybe a great asset to the team after losing PJ Brown, and James Posey in the off season, and Leon Powe to a knee injury our bench looked weak until game 7 of the Bulls series when our bench lead us to a great victory. Game 1 of this Orlando series though I began to wonder if it was just a fluke, but tonight I now have full confidence in Eddie House, Brian Scalbrine, and even Maurbary to a point. I now think we will win this series in 5 and take the Cavs to 6 and maybe with God, and a heroic return of KG win a consecutive championchip. Final Score 112-94
Tonight there is Dodgers going for 13-0 at home (ML modern record if they win) and Rockets At LA (NBA)

NFL off season/draft review. the winners.....and the losers.
32. The Oakland Raiders. Jam rating F
Al Davis did it again.... with letting people go, not signing anyone in free agency then raping the draft makes Oakland more and more likely to be the laughing stock of the NFL once again. I mean really with the 7th overall pick in the draft there is so much potential in that pick. But instead of doing what every other owner in the NFL would have done.... Oakland chooses Darrius Heyword Bey WR out of Maryland. Why is this the worst pick I have seen in my 10 years of football? Easy, He was the 4th ranked WR. Crabtree, Jeremy Macklin, and Percy Harvin in front of him.... Heyword Bey was Honorable mention in the ACC let alone the NCAA, not to mention they could have traded that pick for 2-3 picks and some and still get their man, how could Al Davis pick him? simply because he had the best speed/height ratio. Forget scouting and draft boards, Al Davis draft board, clearly starts with Usain Bolt and works his way down to draft eligible players. This is why Oakland will never become a power house until Al Davis steps down or passes.
31. Buffalo Bills JAM rating D-
You received TO........but your QB is still Trent Edwards..... and after trading your Pro Bowl LT in Jason Peters, how do expect to keep him upright? Also your running game is set... until your O-Line falls apart on you with your 11th pick you choose a DE... I just don't understand your logic and I'm excited to watch you all finish last in the division for 2 years in a row, let alone the firing of Dick Jauron.
30. Dallas Cowboys Jam Rating D-
You let TO go... which is perfectly understandable, except for the fact your down to Roy Williams as your # 1. Not a problem though, well nothing your Franchise QB Tony Romo couldn't handle right? I' am real anxious to see him struggle when his o-shit button has been taken away from him.
The Boys didn't have a pick until the 3rd round, where they take an OLB to compliment Ware....... but the 2nd pick of an Tackle, when you are already set at that position kind of seems a little odd but fine. but with your first pick in the 4th round you pick up a QB? I don't understand Jerry Jones thinking here with little to no off season movement and mediocre draft for a "Superbowl Contender" you sure didn't show enough this off season to count yourself as a real contender.
29. Panthers Jam Rating D+
Little no help on the defence, drafted for the future, on a team who had a shot this year.
28. Browns Jam Rating D+
Drafting 2 WR, a Center and off season moves I don't think are going to be beneficial also... upsetting your star WR not always a good move.
27. 49ers Jam Rating D
Addition of Crabtree phenomenal.....but O'sullivan vs Alex Smith to determine who gets to throw..... not a good pick..... how about a ILB or some Safety's/Corner/OL.....
26. Tampa Bay. Jam Rating D
Really...... you sign Byron Leftwhich....... yet with 17th overall pick in the draft... you draft Josh Freeman a 5th QB to put on your roster.....
25. Dolphins Jam Rating C-
Drafting 2 CB's in the first 2 rounds..... a little Sketchy, but with The Big Tuna making the calls who can Argue??
24. Cincinnati Jam Rating C-
With 23 off the field problems resulting in over 15 arrests in the last 3 seasons.. I thought taking Alabama LT Andre Smith was a bit risky..... But I did like the acquisition of Rey Maualuga
23-13 are all C's they are ( In order)
23. Ravens
22.Chiefs
21.Texans
20. Jags
19.Sea hawks
18.Cards
17.Rams
16. Titans
15. Falcons
14. Saints
13. Chargers
12-10- all of my B grades......
Pittsburgh
New England
Indianapolis Colts.
I place these 3 here, due to the fact the did the same thing they do every year..... they have great GM's/Coaches/Presidents they draft players for there system, and no one can argue with the results.
12. Pittsburgh-
Didn't do a whole lot in the off season..... but in the draft picked some needs and some nice names.
11. New England-
To me it seems like they are drafting for next year.... but getting Joey Galloway to help a already prolific offence is scary enough to creep them into this spot, not to mention they acquire picks like the Bucs acquire QB's.
10. Indianapolis Colts-
in the off season, we lost a veteran WR, but unlike most I think it was time after watching him drop the ball untouched on the 11 yard line before 1/2 in the 07-08 playoffs against SD to take a 24-0 lead.. and because it was 17-0....they came back to beat us.
As for the Draft, I like what Indy did.... we got a RB (which i hope will replace Joseph Addai) in Donald Brown... also 2 300+lbs DT which we needed to go inside of Freeny Mathis... other then that we drafted roster fills and maybe "crosses fingers" a future QB in Purdue QB Curtis Painter.
9. NY football Giants Jam rating B+
They drafted needs and may have filled the spot of Plaxico Burres with Hakim Nicks. I think dropping Plax was decision that will benefit NY.
8. Washington Redskins Jam rating A-
With the biggest splash in the off season, the added DT Albert Haynesworth onto a defence I think will cause some havic next year. To add onto that defence, they also drafted Brian Orakpo to get to the QB. The only question to me on that team is the passing game, I don't think Jason Cambell is the answer but maybe Colt Brennan or Chase Daniels could battle for the spot.
7. Green Bay Packers Jam Rating A-
I think Green Bay made out like bandits in this years draft, not any notable off season movements but come draft day, getting BJ. RAJI a NT to complete the switch to the 3-4 and trading with the Pats to get a 2nd 1st round draft pick to pick up Clay Matthews a blitzing OLB should make for a fun team on both sides of the ball next year
6. Denver Broncos
I think Josh McDaniels knows what he wants and is going after it, after letting Jay Cutler go to Chicago, The Denver broncos have drafted a good RB in Knowshon Moreno also running the offence is Kyle Orton, who I believe will be able to find Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal all day. Denver used the pick they got from Chicago to get, Robert Ayers a ILB from Tennessee who might be able to command a defence with SOME talent.
5. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS Jam Rating A-
causing the biggest splash in the draft to move 12 spots and receive QB Mark Sanchez who they hope will become the next Joe Namath. with only 16 starts in College, he has a lot of work to do before he can take the help but when he does, I have a feeling the Jets may have made out with one of the best players in the draft. I think Jets have a great shot with Sanchez at the helm THIS season, but we will see how much he works in this off season before i make predictions.
4. Vikings- jam Rating A
Minnesota drafted to win... they went Offence and added yet, another explosive player to an already explosive offence... With a QB obtained in the off season in Sage Rosenfels in Minn.... Bernard Berrian AP/CT now add Florida speedster Percy Harvin to the mix I think could cause some real havoc.
3. Detroit Lions! Jam Rating A
Wow... never thought I would have done this.. but getting a Franchise QB with the #1 overall pick, even more so when you got someone who would love nothing more than to throw it to Calvin Johnson every down. I also like the pick, of Brandon Pettigrew the best TE in the draft, he comes off blocks very well, I watched film on him on the NFL network and I wish he had fallen to Indy. can Block, and Catch. and as some speed, I am one of the few who think the Def changes they made as well/drafted will actually be able to win a few games this year!
2. Chicago Bears! Jam rating A+
Let me start off and say... Jay Cutler is a top 5 starting QB in the NFL -- Peyton, Tom, Drew, Phillip,Jay Picking him up was such a great move. With Orlando Pace, (old yes but i like older LT) Matt Forte, some good TE's and even some sometimes good receivers ( I am looking forward for Hester to fall in love with the long ball the year)
also, they met their DEF needs. They got Safety's and DLine crew members. I think this Chicago team will win 10+ games and will be a force this year.
My number 1 team this off season is .....
Philadelphia Eagles! Jam Rating A++
They had one of the best off seasons due to the fact they landed Peters the LT from Buffalo! now, McNabb with time , Deshawn Jackson, and Brian Westbrook, not to mention a new toy in WR Jeremy Maclin they got with the 19th pick. With a already threatening Defence run by future HOF D- Coach Jim Johnson. I think the off season moves the Eagles made have them being a preseason Super Bowl Contender in my book
info through NFL.com/yahoo sports.

My number 1 team this off season is .....
Philadelphia Eagles! Jam Rating A++
They had one of the best off seasons due to the fact they landed Peters the LT from Buffalo! now, McNabb with time , Deshawn Jackson, and Brian Westbrook, not to mention a new toy in WR Jeremy Maclin they got with the 19th pick. With a already threatening Defence run by future HOF D- Coach Jim Johnson. I think the off season moves the Eagles made have them being a preseason Super Bowl Contender in my book

Why the last 2 Episodes of Scrubs Season 3 really makes me angry.
Through out the show, JD (Zach Braff) and Elliott Reed (Sarah Chalke) have a thing for each other.
Before i can tell you what makes you mad let me explain to you the scenario.
In season 3, Elliott meets Sean the ideal great guy fun, loving and amazingly Charming. But when Elliott asks Sean to move in with her, JD finally decides to let her know how she feels he even states "If i had the choice to go have an amazing night on the town or staying at home and watching a terrible move eating pizza with you. Id choose you every time." So as Sean pulls up in his Uhaul all cheery and excited and Elliott Polity says, "I don't think this is going to work." in the next scene you see JD sitting alone on his couch having one of his "inner dialogue moments" says "I may not have won, but at least i went down swinging." Then Elliott comes threw the door with a large pizza in her hand and jumps over couch says "what we watching" he says "Little house on the Prairie." then JD in his inner Monologue states " I don't want her"
Why in the world would this ever happen. Seriously, it makes no sense to me because the character Zach Braff plays (JD) which is like the one from his movie Garden State (Andrew Largeman) almost always relates to my life, which makes this spur of the moment utterly ridiculous scene seem imposable because the one thing we idolize most is that very scenario, a gorgeous girl who all she wants to is be with us and watch shitty movies all day. How in the world could that ever be taken for granted. its clearly the perfect situation to be in and then all of a sudden you don't want that, its bull shit because it totally goes against his character and strictly happened to cause drama in the TV show.

The greatest muscian you've more then likely never heard of.

Eliott Smith
Elliott Smith, is the patron saint of "Indie music" His lyrics are like razors and his guitar play is to me un-matched with the exception to a select few. Elliott's music is something that I can play over, and over, and over again. He sings about life's issues, his miserable childhood, and his depression. When I listen to his voice, I become entrapped till his swift Melody's and wonderful voice have stopped echoing in my ears. But hes not one of those people you just wake up wanting to hear. Hes there when I am unable to express my self, I sing along with such passion when I'm depressed, He seems like the only person who could have ever felt the way i do. I discovered Elliott Smith when I was watching the movie "Good Will Hunting" for his work their, he was nominated for an academy award. But tragically lost to Titanic. Elliott Smith committed suicide on October 21, 2003. But with each passing month, I become more and more in love with the music he left behind. Elliott is one of the rare musicians, where hearing his live music is so much better then the studio version. When hes on stage its totally different, his voice and expressions just make you seem so still as you watch him and feel what hes singing.
Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbQ4sFGmANk to get small taste of the unknown legend, Elliott Smith
Today-3/18/09
I woke up around noon, been sick last few days via flu. But around 7-8 I began to feel better. I watched some sports center and NFL network. I then played the MMO sensation, World Of Warcraft. Today has been a day of thinking about the next two months. It is my last as "kid and my last with a fallout. I think as of today, I am ready to take on all of lifes challenges, deadlines, and constant bullshit that I must deal with on my own. In June I will be moving in with Thomas into the house they have there. Nate Drew Thomas and I are going to rent it from John Baker, i think this is going to be the greatest thing to have happened in my life up this point. I am going to go to college there at Ivy Tech or Purdue. I sent a message to Laura Patenude today about a 30 hour a week job, I think that will be plenty w/ loans paying to tuition and room and board. I think I'm ready to face that, along with being with the freedoms that come with "moving out" My parents have been a great help in this by telling me that they WILL NOT help if i fuck up. But I don't see that being a problem, because this is it..... the film is rolling.... MY life has begun and I couldn't be happier for this opportunity at life.

How to Waste 8 dollars, and an hour and half.

Miss March-directed by Zach Cregger&Trevor Moore
You get into your car, you drive to movie theater and say " One for Miss March Please"
The movie starts off bad...
2 terrible actors one a hideous "ladies man, who cant talk to women" and a "Abstinence preaching 18 year old dating a playboy bunny but wont even think dirty with her, because his older brother had sex one time got syphilis and had a kid who turned out retarded burned their house down and then caused the brother to go insane" Could get it get worse? "YES IT CAN!"
They drive across the country on $100.00 go to Chicago to meet up with a rapper who sings a song with repeating lyrics of " im'a F%#@ a white B!@#$" He takes them on his party bus where a girl gets bounced out the window when they hit a bump. The movie provided some moments of humor of an epileptic "BJ" accident, which ends with the guy stabbing her in the face with a fork, do to some biting.
Of all the "teen humor movies" that come out, this one wasn't the least bit worth the time and money. Stay away from it, unless you like absolutely far-fetched ridiculous jokes and crude moments.
I rate this movie 1/5

No 2 Pitt vs WVU
Pitt 60- WVU 74
Maddison Square Garden- New York, NY
From start to finish, it felt like The West Va Mountaineers(23-10) wanted to win, and needed to win. On the other hand Pittsburgh(28-4) Looked like a team who thought they would just ride on into this game and jsut coast to a victory. The game was looking like how we all expected, until Dejuan Blair(co-Big east player of the year) Sat after only 6 minutes due to picking up a second foul both of which came off the ball or were unnecessary mental mistakes. The mountaineers turned that into a game with a big line up lead by Forwards Da'Shaun Butler(16pts. 3 rebounds and 4 assist) and Devin Ebanks who scored a career high 20 pts,and added ( 7 rebounds, and 3 assists) But the play of the bench by Pitt were not going to bend so easily, narrowing the WVU lead to a 36-34 half time lead. T start the half Dejuan Blair proved how valuable he was by catching a long pass and slamming it down the iron with authority and yelling "Lets Go". But on the following possession, Blair received a technical foul for elbowing as his team was taking it up court. So again he sat. he came back in 5 minutes later to a suffering Pitt Offence. He proved the spark scoring 9 points only to receive his last 2 fouls and leave the game with 6 to go. Causing WVU to just control the game and hold off the defending Big East tournament champions Pitt and win this semifinal match.
WVU plays the winner of the #4 Uconn vs #20 Syracuse. and hope to impress and earn a spot into the tournament next Thursday.
While Pitt waits for selection Sunday to see where the committee thinks they belong. and prepare for the NCAA tournament.

Movie review of "Watchmen"
Watchmen-Directed by Zach Snyder {R} for nudity, language and violence.
Watchmen was a highly entertaining Plot thick, action filled superhero movie. But different then most superheros, by the way the handle the "bad guys". The are revenge seeking, and when they go out, they run with a purpose. The story takes place in 1985 during the cold war, where super hero's are common knowledge. A super hero named Dr.Manhattan, (Billy Cudrup) is a blue piece of matter created in a terrible physics experiment. he can teleport, create anything, change anything into any substance and spends his time trying to build energy saving ways to remove reliance on oil. Overall i was very entertained, there were some parts that were unnecessary, but highly enjoyable. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys movies with thick plots and lots of dialogue, with a clinching desire for some Gorey ass kicking.
3.5/5
